Lots of games have very long lifespans where they change a lot over their life after 1.0, incoporating player feedback into patches, including many of the most popular, like Diablo, Civilization and many others.
You're welcome to wait till we've added more stuff though! Cheers :D
This means you are still in Early Access.
You released an incomplete game and now asking people for further improvements.
This is the very defintion of Early Access.
Just because a developer wants to keep working on the game is a plus, and has ABSOLUTELY nothing related to being EA. I'm sorry but "continuing to support" is greater than "fire and forget".
Now go back to your nintendo and mario cart.
As I said: adding features is a good thing.
BEFORE the relase.
Most games do continue adding features AFTER release, you know...
Crusader Kings II is constantly adding/tweaking stuff. Binding of isaac got a big halloween update after it was released
This is why don´t waste my time playing incomplete games like this, before they are at least 1 year old.
I won´t get cheated by incomplete games.
The thing is... I got only so much time for each game.
And I won´t invest this specific amount of time before the game is content complete. This would be a waste.
And I also won´t invest this time twice. 2014 and 2016 again, because then the game has improved so much... this would be an even bigger waste.
Same with cars, are you considering every car to be in "beta"? Because theyr'e being improved too, same with most other things in the world.
If you believe that feature additions are a no-no after release, then I'm sorry to say that I believe your philosophy will differ from many others, including myself.
A game that releases DLC is also Early Access. (They are ADDING content AFTER the RELEASE)
Keep in mind:
The difference with what the devs appear to be doing here is that it is FREE. The game is feature complete now and if you disabled all future patches that wouldn't change.
EDIT: @ Eretter- Japanese games don't have DLC then? Odd I have downloaded quite a lot of DLC on my WII, WIIU, PS3, PS4 games made by Japanese companies. For example, Hyrule Warriors (great game) has a lot of DLC coming out soon and already has some now and it just released. I see you approve of DLC however as you have 727 DLCs.
Yep.
Every single DLC was bought within a GOTY-Edition, Complete-Edition, Collection. 1-3 years post release.
Oh and yeah, the japanese are loosing their honor in this topic more and more. Mario Golf is another example. Capcom and Tecmo are the worst. Nothing is sacred anymore.
Nobody cares. Set up a blog and vent your drivel there.
And/or you have so much time that you play a game in the week of release and then months or even years later, a second time, to see the new features.
Or wait! Now I got you!
You play the incomplete game right after relase.
You praise the idea of adding features post release.
And... theeeen after a few months, when the features get eventually added......
You won´t notice them at all! And never play them! Since you are already on your next incomplete game!
This makes me wonder... why do you praise the idea of adding features post release, when you never play them?!
