More Q&A planned!
Hello everyone!

A few weeks into the Early Access of the The Guild 3, a lot of work has been done and plenty of work lies ahead.

Quite a few features in the game have been optimized, changed or added and have been made possible thanks to your feedback. Right on the spot – thanks again for your constructive feedback, we embrace and appreciate it.

We noticed you would like to have questions answered that become relevant in the future. Not just the questions about the here and now. We picked up some questions already, thanks to the community that provided them. We discussed them with the team and posted some of the answers yesterday.

Of course, we’re excited about your interest in the future of the game and its development. That’s why we’d like to make the Q&A a periodic instalment.

The idea is: we’ll post a thread for questions on the Steam forum and the game[forum.nordicgames.at] forum. Feel free to ask away there.

Please keep this in mind:
  • Please check if your question has already been asked or answered.
  • Please ask in a constructive manner and refrain from posting general feedback, bug reports etc.
  • Please refrain from discussing questions in the thread, so the questionnaire won’t derail and confound.

We plan to collect the questions once per week, close the thread temporarily and get back with the answers as soon and as good as possible. We are careful to point out not every question may be answered, although.

Let’s get started with your questions:

How does social mobility work in the game? Will each social class have a different method of rising social Hierarchy? For example from a surf to citizen by buying citizenship which is common practice still in the early modern period. Will nobility be done through marriage being close to the king etc? So how will social mobility work.

Will the game at some point include a religious hierarchy and a possibility to play that path? I'm talking starting as a monk or a priest and moving up to the rank of bishop and even cardinal?

How are you suppose to be a bishop or cardinal with a wife and kids? I kind of get why it got left out it was fun but made no sense, men of the cloth were suppose to be celbit, and not marry, let alone have a family. So I totally get that not being possible. I mean the only way you could have a wife is if you were already married before you got the title, and you would be banned from remarring with the title. Bishops are suppose to be celbite, and married cardinals is more of new age loop hole but still very uncomon. Talking loophole made in 2011 for that.

We can create our own maps?, And if possible we could create maps with several cities like in guild 2? Or do you want to focus on a single city to increase the amount of "action"?

Have you considered removing "XP titles" and make them buyable like in the guild 2?

(This is the 7. time I'm asking you this question, with no answer (on facebook, discord, steam forum and the other forum for guild 3). This is really a dealbreaker for me.. )

Not even buyable but something a bit more natural. For example the freedom of the city you can get once you have a successful shop in the city.

Where are you guys posting answers? You are taking questions but I can not find any answers. The lack of communication is very worrying.
Before EA started you said the game was close to being finished, and that is a straight faced lie, what is going on? You need to address the issues or its just going to get worse.
