They Need to Stop Making Call of Duty Games

Seriously every Developer of Call of Duty Treyarch Infinity Ward Sledgehammer all of Them need to stop and really think about the franchise. these games are complete garbage and its embaressing. the franchise is just a quick cash cow like a cheap prostitute. no quality no class. take some time off and regroup please. there is no shame in taking a year off or two. Ubisoft did it With Assassin's Creed hell . look at Battlefield Call of Duty main Competitor for a time. Battlefield 3 was competing against 3 call of Duty games and still out sold them. why is that cause of quality and better game mechanics. take some time off and develope a good game please i beg you.

Battlefield 3 never out sold any cod game that was released before battlefield 4.

bo2 sold more
even ghosts sold more

Also: They have 3 years for every single cod game. How much more time do you want them to have?

as much as it takes to make it better. the problem is the fact their are to many different developers. creating the same game. you can cut it any way you like its still the same game every year but from different people and it gets worse with each year. its like lets mess the up the game so much more then the last guy. the future setting just made it worse but it goes all the way back to world at war

dont get me wrong the modern warfare triligy had a great story for campaign and Black ops 1 and 2 also had a good story but for mutiplayer standpoint they all fell like DLCs of the same game instead of different games. after so many years oif playing Call of Duty since PS2 era i'm expecting more bang for my buck not how much they can bleed me dry before moving to the next game. it started with useless DLCs that cost as much as a used games. and went on to worse and worse game mechanics as the years went on.

yep I agree Activision should stop making Call Of Duty and get Raven to make a true sequel to Soldier Of Fortune. Soldier Of Fortune 2 was 100x better than Call Of Duty 1 and 2 and it should have been the game that was the major franchise but no, console players would have found it to hard so they had to make a kiddie version with perks, and streaks etc and MW was born.

That will never happen. They make billions on games. And you want to know why they keep pushing DLC? Look at this quote -

They'll never stop making them. They're money makers, and Activision isn't just gonna put a stop to that.

i read that article and its sad they only think about money and not about the consumer. its sad they hide behind we listen to our consumers and we are going back to its roots in 2017. news flash its not just the future setting that made the franchsie suck. its the lack of commitment to make a good game. first the game mechanics are all messed up and it got worse with the future setting. example Modern Warfare remastered. remastered fix the horrible movement from the original but look at how many studios had a hand in making that game which is 5 studios. then its this CoD money bull crap. which is slowly trying to carve its way like battlefield instead of reallying on skill to get guns attachments etc battlefield for $3 US dollars you can unlock a whole class and call of duty is trying to go the same route. their PC updates are a joke. they need to have a dedicated squad just for PC updates. consoles are not PCs and the updates should reflex that. they need to practice what they preach and they arent doing it thats why sales drop. but still fan boys and people who just want the latest craze still bought infinate warfare. call of duty 2017 will be just like all the other 21 century titles MW MW2 MW3 and people will rejoice but its still the same broken game.

they are recycling a formula and the last game is just weird I played the free weekend it is nothing like cod. bo seris is fine for me but iw is just cyborgs on mars shooting laser like wtf??
I think they should rethink how they make the games, it doesn't have to come every year, you don't have to split the player base to 2 with season pass and you dont have to offer "loot boxes" so you can squize more money. bf have a game once a few year, the game does have season pass but the devoleper support it and you can feel improvment from each game to another, that what can make a game great and that what I think cod should do.
fyi: cod is still selling way better than bf and I as a sucker almost everytime fell to the pit and buy the new cod (on sell but still) untill the IW *WHICH I WILL NEVER BUY...*

I'm with you there. What I think is tiring about COD now is this whole futuristic plot. Hopefully the next one by Treyarch (the best ones) will probably be WAW based or if they're smart enough and want to go on with Black Ops, they could do sth like Black Ops Origins or something like that. As far as the future theme goes, I think Treyarch handled it fine so far, but now it's just too much, we definitely need to go back in time. BF did it, why can't COD do the same?

actually his argument while lacking correct facts is in the right place. Games should have MORE than 3 years support. the thing is, they release a new game every YEAR. that's just bad... a truly good game should have a sequel every 3-5 years and focus on updates and maps and such. COD has gotten pretty bad in the last 6 years or so and you know it has... it's not the same game it was since at least the first Black Ops. BLOPS 3 was when the series took the worst possible turn and it hasn't improved since. It's the iphone of video games. Yes, it sells a lot of copies, doesen't mean it's a great game. McDonald's rakes in billions of dollars each year and it's not a good restuarant.

Even Black ops 2 still has support. You have no idea what you are talking about. Just because infinity ward is a very bad developer, it doesn't make the whole series bad.
