Wallace & Gromit Ep 1: Fright of the Bumblebees

Crashes on startup
Anyone else having this problem? I try to play, and it doesn't even pop up a window or anything. It just changes my "last play" to today, and is done with me. I tried multiple times, restarting my computer, and all that jazz to no avail.

Look at this post for Back to the Future, it fixed it for me with the .dll copy.
Not ideal obviously but it will get it working. Seems to be a common issue for Telltale games.

I did some research and apparently it does happen for all taletell games. What's theorized as happening is that their games all make attempts to connect to their servers on startup. However, they're not able to connect or something, and it causes a buffer overflow to crash the program silently in most cases.

Another thing that one should try is to remove all USB devices that are not necessary. Controllers especially will crash the game from what I've been reading.

if you put a file called dinput8.dll into the same folder as the exe files for all telltale games they work with an xbox 360 controller plugged in

Yep, I had this problem and my solution was simply to unplug my Xbox 360 controller.
Hmm, neither the compatibility nor .dll worked for me. Will try to find something else.
edit: Delete LUA_PATH environment variable (as found here http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27614)

I had the same problem then I realized I had my Driving Wheel connected. Once I disconnected it the game started with no problems. Silly Telltale, get your s**t together... :engi:
