My screen goes black for a short time every few secs.
I tried to look up some sort of info on this problem, but many ppl who have this problem have it because of the game using integrated vid card, but my PC doesnt have that. I have a new RX 480 in my machine, so it should play on max graf with no problems, but it can't even be played on lowest. Tried Vsync, Borderless Windowed mode, tried to turn on/off many of the advanced graf options, but nothing helps. Please help me guys!!!!

I just started to experince this as of a few days ago as well. I have almost 70 hours I didn't start experiencing this till about 6 days ago.
I am having the same issue. Single Video card - not swtchable graphics. I have over 107 hours into the game - never had a problem. I launched today to have this start. I haven't played in a few months. I updated graphics drivers and still have the issue. I am running AMD R9 380.
Same or atleast similar issue. Screen goes black for a second or two. Mouse cursor shows as loading symbol during the glitch. R9380 and updated drivers.
I have this same problem with a R9 380. Also, the game freezes up for me every time on Abandoned Laboratories before I can even start a wave. I wonder if they are related problems?
This is a wild stab based on a troubleshooting thread for another game, but are any of you running with multiple monitors? If so, can you try disabling and unplugging the second one and see if that makes a difference?
Got same problem (black screen for a short time with loading icon fews times per minute) with my R9 380 and the game juste crash when i try the "abandonned laboratory".
I try with only one monitor and all other disabled in windows but the problem is still here.

I did remove the 2nd monitor. It didn't help.
would be nice if a dev would join in and say something, its not a unique problem it seems...

Same problem here. I'm using a RX 470. :steamsad:
Today I installed STRIX-R9-380X-OC4G-GAMING, I have this same problem.
- Before (gaming is slowly, but NO PROBLEM):
A10-7860K, no dGPU, single monitor, Windows10 Home
- After:
A10-7860K(iGPU is disabled) with R9-380X, single monitor, Windows10 Home

Not yet, at least not that I know of.
I think this is an AMD problem. I'll be installing a GTX 1060 to see if this issue goes away (and the crash on Abandoned Laboratories).

So, Did you test it with the GTX 1060?
