Game not launching from launcher

Has anyone else experienced this issue? The launcher starts from steam, but once i hit play, the launcher dissapears and nother else happens. I thought it might be graphics related, so changed the resolution, AA a few times, but nothing helps.

Any ideas as to what could be causing the game to not load?

What operating system are you using?

On windows xp a similar problem happens, the launcher starts but when you press play the game doesn't start and two errors happen.

You could try reinstalling the 2013 c++ Redistributable some people say it worked for them. You could also try sending an email to the devs, so they can get this problem fixed.

If you have Norton antivirus, check to see if it detects it as a bad file. I wasnt launching either, norton never told me anything. but found out that file insight saw it as a bad file and was blocking/deleting the file. Thats how i fixed mine.

Did this get solved? Because I'm having the same problem. I use Avast.

I had to create a new windows user account and load the game from there.
