Asking for advice on defence/penalty trouble

I've started to get a bit more into the game recently and I feel like I'm over the 'let's see what happens if I do this and this' phase.

I'm using Montreal with the latest TBL rosters and so far so good. My offence is doing well thanks to my PP and first line but I have one major problem. My team takes an absurd number of penalties per game. The team usually takes 7-10 minors a game and it's way too much.

The question is that what kind of things are affecting the discipline of the team?
