Custom Content After the Update -- Bug

When the update occured the dod folder got moved into the /common folder. For users who had custom crosshairs and custom scoreboards this meant having to re-add those files to the /sprites and /resource folder respectively. However, if a user ever runs the "validate steam files" again these custom crosshairs and scorebaords get replaced with default, and the process of re-adding the files has to be completed again. Is this a bug or is there a command to fix this? I always get a "steam validation error" after playing CSGO then switching to try and play Day of Defeat 1.3

You need to put these files into a folder called dod_addon and enable the "allow custom addon content" in-game (Options>Video)
