Mapping: Team Changing (British, Fallschirmjagers. etc)
Im learning to map in DoD. And I've searched on the internet trying to find out how to make varieties for the teams. What I mean buy this is making the allies british or the german into fallschirmjagers (german paratroopers, so you can use the FG42) and stuff. If someone can tell me how to do this or has any idea, that would be great. Thanks.

I don't know much about mapping, only making shapes and texturing them. Im not a pro at this! But, Good Luck! If your looking for Dod Mapping tutorials it's rare, not many people map for Dod these days................:(

Thanks Fedex+, yesterday (12/1/2013) I found out a little bit of info on it. Apparently it doesn't have to do with the map itself. Some files to go with the map I assume. Though I have looked for a while and can't find anything. And I am a little bit higher skilled than you, I could help you map if you ever want me too.

Just open the BSP in BSP edit and change the teams to whatever you want.
Head over to Jeds web site to view the old dod forum archives, including mapping tutorials.

I just finished building new versions of the dod_enhancment_packs, you can download them on my site (registration required due to bots). At some point I will probably post them up over at gamebanana as well. People have been asking for the band of brothers sound pack for dod1.3. I just added some saving private ryan sounds to it and it has the custom crosshairs and netcode tweaks as usual.

I also added Jeds custom 101st and brit models to one of the the packs, but its comes in its own pack because I knew some players wouldn't want the models just the sounds and the tweaks plus Jeds Vgui. I have decided to put up a 1000fps server in Dallas. Add me to friends if you want to frag sometime - squad-leader.

If you just want to add the fg 42's you can just put them on map with the bsp edit. No need to change the team :)
Just lay the weapon anyplace you want by getting the x, y, z with bsp viewer and adding the correct line with the bsp edit! You can do this with any weapon you would like. And place them anywhere you want them.
just look at some of my maps on 17 buddies if you want to see what it looks like on the bsp. enjoy. there are cs and halflife maps I converted with these changes on them : )

The only thing that you need to be aware of is that maps have an entity limit, and if you add too many, the server will crash when you go over it. I add no more then 20 weapons, ammo boxes, grenades ect per map. so far I have edited over 40 maps and they all run fine with no crashes, but I have to use the per map configs in amxx to pause some plugins on certain maps because those plugins can end up adding too many models or other things that cause a server crash.
