Never seen Steam do a refund, but I play larger titles, I guess it's harder to remove titles from Steam when they're from a large company, even though they don't work whatsoerver, False advertisement, ect...

How much does Activision pay to put crap like Ghosts into the Steam community? That game runs like a slideshow in the menus and the gameplay looks like something my phone would produce on an HD screen, if it was broken. Twice.

To be honest, Ghost may be poorly optimized, and generally badly designed game. The marketing may give consumers false imaginary, but their marketing department is so "professional", that mostly if there is some kind of "scandal", it may be planned, and if the cosumer gets too hyped up, their promises are so vague they can say they never promised anything like that. And to be honest, they have never promised the game to be optimized.

That said, this game had stolen assets, blatantly false marketing. It even marekted itself with a name of a different, but similar, project that was seized, but looked far better than the published game. And the community was censored heavily as the promises changed every time something negative of the game was brought up.

And you actually get a game when buying Call of Duty: Ghosts. It may not be up to your personal wuality standards of a game, but it is a game. This did not meet the description of a game.

And for a side note, there have been games, like War Z, that were pulled from Steam. But contrary to this game, it was made by developers who did learn atleast something from their mistakes, and the game was slightly improved (and the name changed) so they could bring it to market again though.

"Legends of Pegasus" from 2012 had a similar fate to "Derp Year 2066".

Steam once did a refund for a game called 'Breach' as the dev went into liquidation.

I still have that game in my library. Every now and then I install it, and play it just for the sake of it. It's a terrible game, and apparently that's why some people actually activelly play it still :D
