Earth:Year 2066 - Refunds
On Steam, developers make their own decisions about promotion, features, pricing and publication. However, Steam does require honesty from developers in the marketing of their games.

We have removed Earth: Year 2066 from Early Access on Steam. Customers who purchased the game will be able to get a refund on the store page until Monday May 19th.

If you don't see a "Refund" button on the store page, you can find it from your account page under "Transactions".

Thanks VALVE!!!
This is the big 1 million lumen flood light at the end of the tunnel shining directly into my eyes. From false reviews, stolen artwork, and music, I'm really proud of you making this desicion to keep Steam a clean and healthy place.

Thank you for this, as it may help to restore little faith in Steam as a proper high end marketplace (even as the reaction to this has been quite unfortunatelly rahter delayed).

However, I'd say that seeing how this forum itself has grown to be as it is, it remains debateable if it is a part worth preserving (Moderation required, perhaps). Or should there be a sideforum under the Steam main thread called "Troll Tavern", as mementum of this forum (and evidently as a reminder of requirement of quality contron under Steam).

Hmm, if we are going by Jim logic, we shouldn't be thanking them.
Still, I'm glad it all got worked out in the end.
Now maybe we can get rid of Watching Sim and perhaps take some action against Muxxy himself?

this is why I became a Steam user. They do try to give everyone a chance to sell their game, but when a developer is so abusive Steam will step in to care for their customers. i don't even think Greenlight should be stopped, I just think some regulations should exist, like making sure real names are used or at least the company is legit/exists, and that certain milestones for content development are met. the forum abuse report system seems to work pretty well though. i've seen other places where nothing is regulated, it's not fun there.

Can someone actually explain to me what happened? Guessing there was some sort of disagreement between the developer(s) and Valve.

Greenlight and early access are good, they just need tighter control so people can't abuse it.

Look into "Air Control" game next. That game is full of copyright infringements , false advertisements and fake "Dev" info. Pretty much a scam as well.
