Good for the non-commited?

I have a friend that I want to buy a puzzle game for, but she doesn't know much about Chemistry; for example, I know that an Oxygen atom needs two electrons to be transfered into its outer shell, for a covalent bond to form; and form that, I can see how cool this puzzle is. Like the aforementioned, will the 'Chemistry' be explained, so does one require previous knowlege?
