Why does this pistol need to reload after shooting half of its rounds when it is a revolver. I have seen this with the double mags but that makes sense. Is there some weird mechanic about this gun that i dont know about? Or is it just bugged and thinks it is using double mags when it is a revolver.

I think it simulatest the aching wrist that needs rest after some rounds ;)

Agree. It's some kind of weird mechanic. Or weird bug maybe. As I remember I had the same problem with this gun on retail Russian version, build 285. And I telling you this gun is crap. Only 5 rounds and low rate of fire. It's not worth it to use.
