Problem finishing 'The Liberation' misson.

-went to jungle camp, to speak with Tanya and took 'The pacification' quest
-go to Santa Maria, speak to the mayor, wait 1 hour, complete quest
-Marcelo Tron comes to speak with me, start 'The Liberation' quest
-get uniform, speak with archeologist, go through tunnel, free Tanya
-escort her back to the jungle camp
And this is where things get bad, as soon as I set foot in the area, I enter combat and it seem like the 'Native's are all hostile. I don't remember doing anything that might turn them hostile, and as it is now, I can't finish this quest, unless I kill every rebel in the area.
I've tried reloading it but I get the same results. I would rather not start all over again if possible.
