Blue Screen / Screen Resolution Fix
When you start the game and its got a blue screen or everything is mixed up then here is the solution:

This problem is to do with scaling and Windows 7 font sizes. A common problem for a lot of software created using VB, C#, Java, etc using the 'older' method (non DPI scaling).

-----

This is a really simple fix; go to your desktop and right click hit "Personalise" > "Display" > and then select "Smaller - 100% (default)" ...

Alternatively, in the Display menu uncheck the option "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays". This will allow you to adjust your display and will scale almost all applications to their appropriate proportions.

The game should scale properly after this.

-----

I have looked into an absolute fix for this issue and nothing exists unfortunately. The ratio is something like 2 machines for every 50 that will be affected by these scaling issues.

Thanks for the fix, had another game affected by this which you have inadvertantly fixed too!

Well, I have 125% scaling, anyway to fix the game without changing this?

I'm afraid not, not that I am aware of anyway. The package i used to build the game does not allow DPI scaling so it will change depending on each persons' PC.

This is just asinine. If I set it to 100%, everything would be microscopic on my laptop. It's not a common problem with VB and C# if you do it right. I've engineered business software in both launguages (among others) for a combined 17 years. There's no way we could tell our end users to change their system to accomodate the software. The software has to accomodate the system. Perhaps you should look at completely rengineering this thing, possibly with C# and WPF at least. I was looking forward to trying it out, but with the UI all out of whack, it's not possible to play. The editor also looks like something I made in the 90s. By the way, I did use Spy++ to see if it was developed the way I thought it was. The taskbar icon even gave it away.
