Will there be achievements?
I'm wondering if the lack of achievements is a game-design decision or an oversight. If it's the latter I'd urge the devs to add them. Achievements can make all the difference for a lot of players, i.e. whether they'll play it or not.

Oh, and trading cards. We like trading cards, too. :p

Seeing as how this game was made before achievements were even a concept, I'd say it was neither. Kinda like how typewriters are not wifi compatible but it's neither a design decision or oversight.

Achievements and trading cards have been added to a lot of re-released games.

I would like to see some achievements too. They give people even more reasons to play the game, so I don't see what the harm is :P I could make them myself if you want!

Cards, yes. But achievements? Can you name some except Valve games?

Well, it´s a nice idea but the gameplay doesn´t seem dynamic enough to support creative achievements, all I could think of to achieve in Nosferatu would be rather dull.

make it through the night
save all 16 relatives
shove father aville into the pit
kill 5 of every enemy type
make every body of water in the game holywater

that would be everything I can of, anymore ideas?

Some acheivement ideas:

"Fetch!" - Have Buster kill 5 enemies
"Good boy!" - Have Buster kill 10 enemies
"Sick em!" - Have Buster Kill 15 enemies
"With my bear hands" - Kill 20 enemies using your fists
"This isn't for walking" - Kill 20 enemies with the cane sword
"That was easy" - Kill a boss without taking damage
"Excuse me sir..." - Pin an enemy with the Crucifix for 5 seconds
"..do you have a moment.." - Then punch him to death
"..to talk about Jesus Christ" - Throw holy water on the corpse
"Reuinion" - Save each family member
"Man's best friend" - Have Buster follow you the rest of the game, without dying
Or: Don't save anyone, except Buster.
"Liquid courage" - Beat the game using only Melee weapons, and Holy Water
"..Then who was flickering the lights?" - Kill the count without taking damage
"ONE punch, AH AH AHH. TWO punch, AH AH AHH" - Punch the count
"The wrath of Malachi" - It's really not so bad

Although some record of one's deeds would be welcome, I can't help but feel that having achievements pop up on the screen every now and then would negatively affect immersion. The gratification of receiving the achievement for killing your first vampire would also be at the expense of the terror of having faced your first vampire. Rewarding the player for fighting monsters would cause people to seek them out, rather than try and encounter as few as possible and will also have a negative impact on their scare factor.
