Durante saved us again [Rendering at 1080p+] v0.2 (Letterbox workaround)
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=149951456&postcount=366

http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?p=691 01-feb New vers!. Read the readme!
Durante's MEGA link is rip, try this one;

ON gliConfig.ini RENDERING RESOLUTION BY DEFAULT IT'S AT 2560x1440
IF YOU GRAPHICS CARD CAN'T HANDLE IT (or want directly to render it at 1080p instead of beyond), CHANGE IT TO 1920x1080

from this

gliConfig.ini
[14...]

renderWidth = 2560;
renderHeight = 1440;

[...]
to this
gliConfig.ini
[14...]

renderWidth = 1920;
renderHeight = 1080;

[...]

FOR RESOLUTIONS AT 16:10 (only for Nvidia)

If you're an AMD user you can still do it, but with the AMD catalyst control panel.
All you have to do is check maintain aspect ratio and enable gpu scaling, like here;

And then change your desktop resolution, just like Nvidia, at 1080p or the closest 16:9 you can do.

Some credit should go to the authors of glintercept for making this much easier.

Would you believe me that when I saw you doing some work on this game I inmediatly bought it? I'm downloading right now as I write this.

Dude, you gave me hours on Dark Souls, and enjoyment on VC at 4k, whatever you do, keep it up, I like it.

Thank You, Durante !!
By the way, I heard we can Fix the Start up issue by Updating C++
and Fix Battle Bug with Compitability Mode... is that true ?

It's not working for me, I downloaded and extracted the files, set the resolution to 1920*1080, and nothing was happening.

all hail durante!!!!
Durante 31 Jan, 2015 @ 9:59am
Dosnell, how did you ascertain that nothing was happening? An easy way to check if the fix is applying is to set it to a very low resolution (like 400x300).

Try using Fullscreen or Windowed in the options, I don't have the game -yet- but I think I have a theory why it could work and why it can't.

Some people in their free time does a better job than a company that change $20. Hilarious.

With my bare eyes. I can't see it to be more detailed from downsampling and with windowed mode, the game's still at 1600*900.

Apart from having my framerate butchered it looks pretty much the same.

There's no way it looks no different, It should look way sharper when downsampling since this uses FXAA.

All we need is a way now to override textures and we can change the GUI to be sharp and not have a blurry mess and hell, maybe retexture the entire game.

Indeed, but, it does look pretty much the same for me in 2k, except my framerate is now horrible.

OK the graphic stays the same as 1600*900 now while I set the resolution to 640*430 in full screen mode. Might be it is working.

If you don't see a difference (and your system specs are such that it "butchers" your framerate to render at higher resolution) you probably simply shouldn't use it ;)

The first link in the OP shows what it looks like for me rendering at 5120x2880 (and still running at 60 FPS FWIW).

What graphics card do you have? You do need a powerful card to downsample though.
And you tried disabling v-sync? In some zones it seems that when you go 5 frames lower than 60 fps it goes full bananas and you get 30 fps and tries to go back to 60, creating suttering worse than any of the new assassins creed.
