Massive Defense Station issues??
SO I made a ship with a giant laser - size 40000 and made it in game - only 5mil mat so it's stand able - and it annihilates ships - BUT only one support ship at a time. also tried a torpedo build at 100000 and even that doesn't puncture thru the spam of support ships. anyone know of a mod to increase penetration or explosion radius per size?

OR what files to edit for torp detonation raius scale.
Screenshot of the design? The supports the AI typically builds should be wiped out by a torp a quarter that size I'd say.

The supports are wiped out by the torps - but not before the main unit can engauge. - even has MASSIVE range but it's not enough. - screen coming soon

my Suggestion is splt it into 2 or 3 lasers. One giant weapon is always going to have major issues. Only particle lances can sort of try and be a single large weapon.

Single large weapons are good but only if used in a supporting role to support your actual fleet that's destroying the enemy supports and such clearing a path to the flagship.

Fair enough. Tis a shame! the laser doens't shoot straight for the target - but shoots the supports first - i'll proabably link up a torp with a laser and see how that works. Thanks for all of your imputs!

It does shoot straight for the target. That's the problem. The laser is just hitting support ships that are in the line path of the laser first. This is a problem when the supports are set to "shield" especially, since they try to do that on purpose. So that, combined with the fact that lasers stop at the first target (cannot "blast through" in one shot) is why they are not great fleet killers in this situation.

Which they should be able to but how it's programmed yes - it's rather unfortunate. however I just saw the dlc and have warheads now.... a size 1000 ship can take down a 20k with a single one xD
