.NET installation bugged?
Would love to play the game, but when I attempt to install, I get an error with the Microsoft .Net 4.0 install, saying that there's an equal or updated version already installed. If I close it out, it schedules a restart in 1 minute. The only way to get out of this is cmd > shutdown -a. I've tried running Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool, but it doesn't fix the problem. Should I uninstall and reinstall .Net 4.5, or can you suggest another solution?

Solved it, uninstalled .NET 4.5.1, installed .NET 4.5.2, booted up fine.

They really should remove forced restart from installation package of this game.

Already had .net 4.5.2 installed and have been stuck in a perpetual cycle of automatic rebooting for the past 20 minutes. Luckily i was able to find this thread on my phone so i could find out how to stop it. Not a good start to one's experience with the game. I hope for the people who worked on the game's sake that this glitch gets fixed soon.

Had the same looping problem with my install (and learned about shutdown /a using my phone, too :) and figured I'd give 4.5.2 a shot and...it worked! Thanks El Borracho!

I've just installed the game and was hit by this. Thank gods, that we have a 2nd computer (and found this thread), cause otherwise I would be left with an inaccessible system on an endless reset loop and no immediate internet access.

As much I'm eager to play the game and as much I'm enthusiastic about it, I find it ridiculous, that it still persist after 4 months (at least, maybe even much longer than this thread was posted).

Devs please - remove the bundled installation of .NET or make it optional for crying out loud, not an auto executing process that basically breaks the system for the less computer savvy owners and still requires the affected to have an extra computer or a phone with internet access to find a solution!
