Equipment never in stock

As the title says I'm having problems with the equipment I need or want to buy are never in stock. Is there some resource I need to get to the equipment stations in order for their stock to increase? As far as I can tell I'm on good enough terms with the Argon to have things like the 5MJ shield and some of the weaker lasers to be available for sale.

Try to find factories which produce them. The trade is in real time and if noone supplies these stations then there won't be any equipment on them.
