Directors cut is it worth it?
I bought this game a while back with all the dlc and never really touched it. I noticed there is a Directors cut edition and just as I am getting ready to dive into Deus Ex again. If someone who actually played it before and after DC came it could tell me if its a big diffrence and why that would be amazing. I am not to stingy with my money since its 5$, especially since it would only be a 5$ upgrade. I would also like to know if I have to start over, im around an hour in so far, and honestly having to start over would be a bit of a deal breaker. I don't feel like watching that long scene at the start because ive seen it around 4 times, each when I thought I would actually play the game.

IMHO, it's worth the upgrade. There isn't a significant difference, but having totally completed the first/vanilla game, and now playing through this, I'm enjoying it immensely.

However, an hour isn't that much. You're probably at the manufacturing plant, right? That's not that far into the game. I've clocked 80 hours on the vanilla, and a further 25 on The Missing Link working through doing pacifist runs and so forth.

In my opinion is not worth it, the DC has many technical issues. Wait for a patch first.

If you upgrade do you end up with two versions of Deus Ex in your library or does it replace the original?

Two Deus Ex. I prefer it like this, after seeing the mess they have with the DC one >_>
