New biochip upgrade in Hengsha

After escaping the construction site, you are invited to a LIMB upgrade as a secondary mission. DO NOT DO THIS. If you take this upgrade, later on on confronting Namir in the final boss fight, you will find defeating him impossible as your health has been so downgraded.

It is a nasty trick of the developers to include this lure: black marks!

In the end, I had to back trackx to a much earlier save as I could no longer enter just before accepting that ugrade: in fact I had to fight Mantis (Fedora again!!!)

So be warned.

I think we are alredy well warned of that, thanks anyway.

And it's not impossible, you need the same strategy with both biochip or not, cornering, grenades and laser cannon.

If you've been reading the emails/datachips etc you'll have had a fair warning something's up. But first time round I still went along to see what would happen. Ended up having to haul a turret along to defeat Namir, wasn't fun.

Its up to you if you upgrade your biochip or not, I've played the game about 6-7 times since it was released and the inner sanctum boss is difficult either way, also you get XP for upgrading your Biochip, the inner sanctum boss is easy when you know his weaknesses, frag mines, frag nades and other explosives or if you have Stealth (invisibility) use that and shoot him in the head 5-10 times, I usually use my silenced pistol as its my main prefered weapon. :-)

i dragged a turret around with me every chance i had, but never in a boss fight, and getting the chip installed is a bad idea, however your 1st play-thru, its hard to know that, but thanks for the heads up.

You went all the way back to an earlier save for this? Jikes.

I managed to beat him with similar difficulty as all the other boss battles. The thing is that the boss AI aren't as intelligent as the common AI, especially Namir. Run from grenades but otherwise stay in the same cover, and he will pretty much remain in the same predictable spots, sometimes even just stay in one place cloaked. Use pills and stims excessively of course. Then you can just shoot until he's down. The laser cannon helps a lot and it can shoot very accurately around corners.

Thankx guys. As Booker often say in Bioshock: much appreciated. I clearly don't do enough homework on the emails etc.. so failed to pick up the hint that the uograde was suspect. But from what some have said it will still an uphill battle when I get there.I get the impression that some transhumans sit on these fora just to feel superior: how sad.

I tried my (not really) hardest to get that biochip. Turns out, it's great that I'm inept.

It's not impossible to kill him just harder with the upgrade.

ok so you suck at this game you did the wrong thing and made it harder for your self lots of cule (on my frist play thow) told me it was a bad idea the TV lady sade TYM is recalling the chips and if you uesd youe head TYM is bad

I just chucked 10 mines to where he spawns before i fully entered the room , took one step, skip cutscene, BOOM, done.
I actually had an easy time killing Namir despite having gotten the chip my first time around. My Assault Rifle had 4 Damage mods on it, 60-round clips, and Auto-targeting systems, so it was as easy as kiting and letting lose.

Using the revolver with explosive ammo kills him with 3 shots. Just blow him with some grenades first, then give 3 shots. Don't even need to be headshots. He was way easier than the other bosses
