Deus Ex lagging when recording with fraps
Hey so im tying to rec this game with fraps for a let's play and it get's very bad studder through out the whole video, i have perfect fps without recording but when i am its crap. Can anyone help?

Well you could try recording in a lower resolution (720p is high enough) or you could switch to msi afterburner (works better for me). If the problem stays post your pc specs so that i can help you more :D

But, afterburner is only for MSI graphics cards, isn't it?

no it works with pretty much every card (i use it with gtx 970 by inno3d) and has nice and easy to access options

Thanx. I might have to try it. Fraps works ok for me now but, I'm always open to options.

Thank's for the idea, i decided to try another video recording program to see if it works with deus ex called ''action capture'' a few mothes back because of the lower memory it uses and it works fine and has a lower GB storage with the same 1080p rec. I highly recommend it if you had the problem i did. Have fun guys/girls

When I searched for Afterburner, everything pointed to it being a GPU tweaker. There was no mention about video capture. Even if it does vid cap, I really don't want the tweaker stuff installed on my system. Thanx anyway, Makorek.

I tried Action and it is awsome. Works better than Fraps with more features. Good rec, qumi.
