Missing Link story starts after you plant and detonate the bomb that Tong gave you at the Belltower compound

About 3/4 of the main game, but i suggest to play HUman Revolution then The Missing Link, there are a bit of misplaced references dues is "before final release dlc" format, and you pretty much spoil most of HR final events.

If you have the Director's Cut version of the game, TML is integrated into the storyline.
As for what illgib said... I don't know what he's talking about. I didn't find anything in TML that spoils what comes later.

Well you pretty much know what Arion is before reaching Panchea, ruining the WTF effect you get when you enter the server romm at the end, you see what they are doing and why, explaining what Arion his way before you'll ever heard of him in HR.

... You mean the Hyron project? Yeah, that's the main plot of TML. I wouldn't call that a spoiler or misplaced reference, though, since in terms of the game's plot, the events of TML are supposed to happen between when you leave Hengsha and when you arrive in Singapore.

So... yeah I guess you could say TML spoils the surprise at the end, but only because if you skip TML and play it later, that would be like reading a book and deciding to skip a chapter.
