Started game playing as Union of South Africa...had to ask UK for Alliance treaty and military access,both denied.....WTF......the union of south africa was governed by Great Britain and the Queen was head of state....such basic mistakes should not be in the game,I appreciate muzzy lane is a rebel colony company but a bit of research would be good on the most powerfull entity on the planet at that time..

Its a bug the last update they had feels like it added more bugs then anything.

We're adding a lot of AI to the game right now, and that can have unintended consequences, like the treaty refusals you were seeing. Thanks for letting us know. We're working on it!
