Controller Support
This looks like a good game to use the steam controller with. Any good, comments on using the steam controller?

I tried the steam controller, it kind of works.

I must say that after fiddling with it for an hour and playing the game for a couple of hours like that, I just went back to mouse and keyboard...

maybe you can improve on what i did?

what I did is , you have to enter big picture mode, then launch the game, so that wya you can press that round button with the steam logo on it to bring up the config menu.

I turned off "allow gamepad" in the launch options, instead intending to configure the controller to emulate a mouse and keyboard

I mapped w,a,s,d to the left thumbstick (you hve to set the sensitivitiy all the way up or it won't detect the diagonals)

the right touchpad, I set it to emulate mouse control, i turned off "trackball mode"

, right and left click(attacks) to the right and left shoulder buttons.

I mapped "esc" (quit/save game menu), to the "back" button,
"Q"(quest log), to the "forward" button.

the left touchpad, I mapped the mouse scrollwheel up and down to it, and then I told it "vertical motion"
spacebar(jump), mapped "x",
"e"(interact,pickup), mapped to "a"
"c"(character info), mapped to "y"
"i"(inventory), mapped to "B"

the thing is that the right touchpad can "work" to move the mouse pointer, but I've never been able to get the pricesion that i can get by just using the mouse.

plus, there's a hotbar with quick keys for 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0, that you can put items on and I have no solution to map those to the steam controller.
I did map "1" and "2" to the right and left trigger, but yeah.

the game is playable like this, but in the end it just make me realize it's more playable if I just use the mouse and keyboard instead of trying to emulate them.

the thing is that the game does have gamepad support but it doesn't seem to recognize the steam controller. either that, or it's looking for the right thumbstick, which the steam controller doesn't have.

that's probably the best answer you're gonna get, as the community for this game seems dead or nonexistent.
I suspect the developer abandoned this game. at least "they" "Fixed some crashing issues" before abandoning it...
it's too bad because it's kind of fun to explore the game world they made
