Recruited Melusine (the princess), Lost the rooster and cow, where are they ?

hey guys/girls
was wondering if someone could give me a hand,

when i want to speak to the princess melusine,
my party (disbanded?), and now i cant find the rooster and the cow characters
i've looked around the town but only found the shrine maiden (forgot the name),
in which she calles me a dog for leaving her (lol),

i've looked around most of the town but cant find them i then tried to go back to the first forest and to the right side of izuma's town entrance where i found the cow,, but they aren't there :'(

if anyones managed to find them after having the "private chat with mel in her castle",
could you tell me where they are and/or have i lost them permantly ?

Go into your menu and check the Party screen. They are just out of the party.

o.O cant believe it was as simple as that and i over-looked it / didn't think of looking in the party menu
