Snow Berry VS Hot Mushrooms. their is no diference in what they do
their description is exactly the same -> Cures Unconscious, give 1 Life, target One.

but the Berry cost 120 coins and th Mushroom cost... 50 coins. With this of course noone will buy Berrys.

Think about real life, would you rather have a snow berry or a hot mushroom. To me, the snow berry sounds like a delicacy, while the hot mushroom sounds like ... nasty food. And I like mushrooms lol. Only rich ppl buy the snow berry.

I believe the berries are sold in a region where the mushrooms aren't.

well, yes.
But its hard not to have lots of Hot Mushrooms by the time we visit the snow continent for the first time. Hot Mushrooms are together with the snow group, they don't go together with Jordan on the last far desert city visit.

in this case, may I suggest you to challange players to have the need to buy Snow Berrys as the only way to remove Unconscious status at the first visit of snow continent (not counting with the Revive spell, if a character already have it at the time). To do this you just need to give all Hot Mushrooms to Jordan instead of Clea (can't remember well today, but I think she was the leader the snow group, I did that part long time ago :p)

It seems an interesting point (I don't remember very well the details of the inventory when they split up). Maybe in my playthrough I didn't have a lot of mushrooms to notice this subtle point. I'd say it would have been more interesting indeed to give the mushrooms to Jordan but I believe that Clea's party is potentially underpowered when they split up, so I gave her at least this and a few more items. Sorry for not remembering so well lol it's been more than 2 years.

true, that Clea group is a little underpowered by that time if you don't use them a little. But they can hold up well enough against first enemie groups, enough to evolve a little more too.

of course if you don't evolve them a bit before enter the snow continent, the Mushrooms will be used lots of times there :p.

Anyway this is me, but I learned with your games (the ones I played) that its always good to have some patience to evolve my characters. With this, consequently, I gain enough money to buy almost anything at the time :) and they were strong enough to go there and not dieing at all or to many times. Thats why I liked the change you made in Millennium 5, there if we don't want to lost loooots of time to evolve on the begining of the game we really need to choice what to do before going to the next phase.

sometimes its hard to have a compromise between the conditions you want, when accessing a new area, but I welcome always challenges that you can't overcome simply by evolving your characters before hand. And this is what normally happen, I just evolve them before hand and in the next phase I am almost like invincible (I'm exaggerating a bit here, but its not far from what is happening).
