Bring Neverwinter Nights 2 Back to Steam?
I know there are some legal issues, but I think this game should come back, it's a really good game.

I think the same

They have these "issues" for (?) 5 years (or more) already.

Agreed. It's a shame because I know some people who would have loved to buy it, but by the time they looked in the store, it was already gone. On the other hand, you can still buy it on gog, and the Complete Edition, at that. If does come back, I would love it to be the Complete Edition with Mysteries of Westgate included.
It's a really good game. And with the two nice add-on campaigns (especially MotB), I more than got my money out of it.

Its a shame. I own the game but my Cousin wants it so he can play with me. I was really disapointed when it was no longer there.

I feel sad that the game is not selling on Steam anymore, but at least I still own the game and I can still play it normally.

Anyway, the title of this topic is a bit misleading, for a moment I thought the game was back at the store.

Can I at least register my existing CD keys on Steam? I was genuinely thinking about plumping for the GOG NWN2 pack but all that would do is gain me Mysteries of Westgate, it wouldn't get me Steam support.

I think it;s better not to have a such a moddable game as this on steam (which likes to overwrite game file changes).

The game is designed such (Modulair design) That all modable elements are not touched by Steam files. The core game in the steam folder usually doesnt get modded, rather all mods, modules haks and overrides are in the Neverwinter Nights 2 folder on your documents location.

And steam never touches that.

The only fun thing is the Steam Overlay in the Toolset when you use it through steam.

But please, bring NWN2 back to steam, we need a way to easily buy the game and Steam just is the main platform for PC games these days.

Oh how I would love a NWN3 with Steam Workshop support, and the Vave server support to host our Persistent worlds. I wish someone at Wizards would just call Obsidian to make NWN3 like this.

But above all, please bring NWN2 back on Steam. What's the holdup? GoG does have it.

hah right? obsidian rules. but i dont think they'll be working on NWN3 for a WHILE

To be honest I'm just waiting for it to go on sale on GoG, and I'll just get it along with the Diamond Edition of NWN1. It would be great to have it on Steam but I'm guessing whatever is stopping it from going on Steam is sufficiently complicated that we'll not be seeing it for a while.

I think the kicker is that the NWN2 Complete Edition really is *complete*, in that it comes with Mysteries of Westgate - as far as I'm aware, something that isn't available anywhere else. IIRC even when it was on Steam, MoW wasn't in there.

Agreed, I'm lucky enough to have got it before the wizards of the coast atari ordeal. Send letters to Hasbro and include some of those old school rare Atari/WoC trading cards in your snail mail! (or just go to that UK website Gamer's Gate [something like that] aka GoG.com

Luckily I got it before they took it off Steam.

Seems like the whole series of NwN will soon be available on Steam, including the latest Neverwinter Online

Proofs: http://steamdb.info/search/?a=app&q=neverwinter

For example, the Perfect World Neverwinter EULA is already on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/eula/109600_eula_0
