Starter. Exe not working

Played the game 41 odd hours....no mods installed other than all the DLC....
No changes to system set up since game was working fine....
All of a sudden the game does not start at all, not even to menu screen, crashes to desktop straight away.....same error, on the odd random time I have got in to the game it just crashes again.

Starter.exe not working.

I have clean installed multiple times now. Installing with and without any DLC. Same error. Followed pinned problem reporting discussion but nothing is working, all other games I have are working as normal.

Anyone got any ideas or heard of this Starter.exe error before?

Can get in to the game using adminster and windows compatibilty. All DLC downloaded and installed.

The game crashes at battle loading screen at 3% each time......

Same sort of thing is happening to me. Screen goes black at 3%. Start task manager and it shows battle loading, but when the battle loads, the screen goes black again.

Changing to "start in windowed mode" fixed the problem for me. (6.03)

Yes, "start in windowed mode" should be always set as it was by default.

So, you have reinstalled both vcredist and DirectX? Try updating video drivers. "Artwork picture shows error in community hab" you wrote in the other forum suggests something wrong in your system. Maybe the steam client requires updating?

try manually deleteing the steam files. (you will lose your campaign)

vcredist and DirectX has been reinstalled. Video drivers updated to 376.33 already. Steam Client is uptodate as well. Game starts in window mode and has the same error as if the game is started in full screen mode. I play Mius-Front no problem. Played over 40 hours of OP Star no problems. Havent changed my system config or installed anything else other than reinstalled OP Star to play some snow maps....
Really starting to piss me off that this game is not working anymore for no noticeable reason...

deleted and reinstalled Steam completely. as clean install of GTOS as I can get. Lets see if there is any change

Complete reinstall of Steam seems to have fixed the problem. This discussion can now be deleted.
