Tutorial

If you or a friend wants to dive into Depth there's no better way than the Crash Course! Join Captain Stubbs on a training mission gone awry, hunting for treasure and hunting for divers as you experience thrilling diver and shark gameplay. After completing the mission new and veteran players alike will unlock the Battle Scarred Tiger Skin!

Steam Workshop

We've added Steam Workshop support for diver gear into Depth. You can now create a new skin and upload it to Steam Workshop from in the Depth Editor. Subscribing to your favorite skins will make them available within single-player matches. For a detailed guide on using Steam Workshop in Depth, see the Depth wiki:

Changelog:
This includes the major changes since the last update (minor bugfixes and changes are not included)

Mechanics

  • Divers now always have a welder. Welder is bound to '5' and on the scroll wheel with respects to the Skip option.

Balance

  • S.T.E.V.E.'s health changed to 180 from 300.
  • Welder repair speed halved

UI

  • Added hint to the HUD when looking at a damaged S.T.E.V.E.
  • Fixed bug where silhouettes would not be visible when equipped with a weapon that has a scope modifier.
  • Fixed bug where players with HTML in their names broke lobby chat when they were suggested.
  • Fixed bug where quick chat was not working across languages.
  • Turkish language translations now available - thanks to Çinar Tuncer, Ömür Gencer, and Oskay Demir.

Content

  • Tutorial added to teach basic shark and diver concepts.
  • Fixed FOV not applying to diver bandage meshes and other meshes which would cause a desync between the diver player model and the attached meshes.
  • Fixed bug where holstered weapons were not having skins applied to them.
  • Fixed bug where holstered weapons were not always updating in respect to what the diver was carrying.
  • Added a fade out blending to environment meshes so that environment meshes do not instantly disappear when going out of rendering range.

Modding

  • Added Steam Workshop support for diver gear!

Other

  • Controller default bind overhaul.
  • Fixed bug where deploying / dropping consumables would sometimes leave you with empty hands and a desync to the server.

Hotfix 1

We have also released a hotfix for the Crash Course content update, which includes the following performance and balance tweaks along with some bug fixes.

Changelog

Mechanics:
  • Made it less likely divers will spawn outside the safe room while S.T.E.V.E is opening a safe.

Balance:
  • S.T.E.V.E's health changed to 200 from 180.
  • Hammerhead speed required to reach max ram damage increased (speed to damage scale to 0.06 from 0.07).
  • Hammerhead damage to S.T.E.V.E to 14 from 15.
  • Hitting S.T.E.V.E now reveals the hitting shark for 1 second.
  • S.T.E.V.E takes less damage from mines - to 5 from 10.

UI:
  • Fixed 'Tutorial' game mode appearing in Matchmaking/Private Match menus.

Maps:
  • Stash: Fixed a spawn point inside a wall.

Performance:
  • Made sure 3D render targets were only running while visible (give a big FPS boost).

Modding:
  • Fixed workshop skins working in single-player.
  • Testing workshop skins doesn't mangle your skin setting for online play.
  • Fixed new Workshop Skins having the 'Dev Only' flag on - it stopped them from uploading to Steam Workshop.

I am quite curious what the record will be for killing STEVE on DH now with double hammerheads.. it was already pretty damn short :S

as i noted in the other thread 12 hits to kill STEVE with HH so six eave it's going to be hell short

And a weaker Steve, sounds like murderizing Steve will be a viable approach now. >:}

I´m not able to buy the specimen 7 skin? If i click on the buy button I´m just forwarded to the "Welcome Steam page" in the overlay and I also can´t find it in the DLC section of the game.

Btw - thank you so much for using my name for the skin :D

It doesn't seem like they've released it yet. At least, it's not in the DLCs and nobody is able to buy it.

That´s why I mentioned it maybe? Because it seems like a bug? The only thing you did is to rewrite the things which I´ve wrote already before.
