Depth: Terror Nights
Now LIVE!

Celebrate the season of harvest and revel in the tale of The Terror Nights! Long ago an unfathomable monster named the Terrorking rose from hadal depths. Breathing life into all around him, the Terrorking forged great magma monsters of all shapes and sizes. Seafarers in particular grew to fear one group of these beasts forged like hammerhead sharks, which they named the Hellfire. When the Hellfire attacked the seas would steam and boil as the massive molten creatures rammed their vessels to pieces. Lauren Keen was one merchant who survived a Hellfire attack. Enraged at the loss of her ship and crew, Lauren set out to protect others and end the tyranny of the Terrorking. It was the 12th Night of Terror when Lauren found him, and it was the 12th Night he was tricked. In a battle of wits, Lauren sent the Terrorking back to where he came, sealing him at the bottom of the sea. With peace restored, a plentiful harvest ushered in the celebration of the end of The Terror Nights. Though likely just a folktale, the Terror Nights are celebrated to this day in rememberance of harvest, trickery, and terror.

Changelog:
This includes the major changes since the last update (minor bugfixes and changes are not included)

Mechanics

  • Electroreception now has a medium-large range rather than infinite, and the weapon icon is bigger
  • Razor Fins now deals an additional 30% damage to nets
  • Blindside is now controlled by aiming with mouse/controller, rather than strafing
  • Ignore pain no longer effected by damage over time Barbed Net, for consistency with Toxic and Bleed
  • Ammo mods Bleed, Toxic, Tag and Drag only effect the shark if health damage was taken (Effects Ignore pain).
  • Toxic now has a maximum time limit of 20s, and damages at 4% (from 3%) of max health per second.
  • Added Extra Ammo to Bang Stick

Balance

  • Ignore pain price to 50 from 60
  • Bull Shark active levels as follows: Level 1 : Duration: 4s, Rage Gain: 100%, Cooldown: 15s; Level 2 : Duration: 4s, Rage Gain: 120%, Cooldown: 12s; Level 3 : Duration: 4s, Rage Gain: 140%, Cooldown: 8s
  • PAT now lasts 80s up from 60s
  • Bleed and Toxic on the P11 went to 500 from 400 gold
  • Bleed and Toxic on the SPP1 went to 400 from 300 gold

UI

  • Shark HP Bar is now a bright red when bleeding
  • Fixed :thanks: emoticon

Maps

  • Fixed spot were players could get out of the map at the bottom of Fractured

Content

  • Added Bang Stick Gold to Item Drops

Other

  • Extra Mags now called Extra Ammo

I'd guess that's right, even the main image on the store page shows the Magma HH.

In that case, the magma HH is probably going to be a seasonal skin, as it shows up as a skin option in Depth ED (tidal)

Well, at least no outright nerf for toxic (actually it seems like a buff to me). I kinda liked it the way it was, though.

Think it's kinda lame we have to pay 5 bucks to get to unlock event skins. I mean don't get me wrong the HH skin alone looks worth it but still it would of been a nice incentive for people to play to get to unlock rare skins for free.

I would had them unlocked for free if you met the game requirements and shortened the time frame of terror nights.

Edit:

Idk it's just the game counter thing added and in your face it's misleading; makes you think you'll be able to unlock them with games played points or something, till you click the buy icon.

5$ for 5 skins that you will unlock across 25 matches up to December 4th. Yes, you will own them forever. For 50 and 100 games you get silver and gold commemorative coin (badge). Skins are exclusive for this event and of new tidal quality.

Either way, just figured that it's not "either pay or play" but "pay and play". The skins look neat, but I am not going to use any money on skins. Too bad, it seemed like fun to play for them.

WoW - now we can't get bleed or toxic from the start. So hardcore ,too bad for all those beginners that really want to learn this game .

Tbh it's no big deal. Spawn with a P11, collect a few treasures and the next time you die you get your mod.
