It's diver against diver mayham in an all new event gamemode, Haywire! In this special event gamemode S.T.E.V.E. has gone haywire opening safes, while two teams of divers fight for control of S.T.E.V.E. aiming to make it out with him and the riches! Not only is it diver vs diver, but occassionally you will be offered to play as a shark to aid your team in the battle to regain control of S.T.E.V.E.! Along with the gamemode, Aquatekk Industries has developed some new looks for your favorite gear which can be unlocked by playing games of Depth during the Haywire Event! There are not just new looks for weapons, Aquatekk is proud to unveil its latest combat submarine, JET, the Jet Engine Tiger. With a frame capable of camouflaging for short durations, this new generation submarine has its design inspired by the deadly and quick moving tiger shark. The Haywire Event is available until April 18th, so be sure to dive into this electrifying event before it's gone!

Completing matches of Depth during the Haywire Event will count toward unlocking exclusive skin rewards like the Aquatekk ADS and Spear Pistol, the newly developed Jet Engine Tiger JET, aid in leveling the Haywire Commemorative Coin, and more! Free to everyone is the all new event gamemode Haywire! Haywire is only available for the duration of the event so be sure to check out the 6v6 Diver vs. Diver mayham before the event ends! Haywire is only availble for matchmaking, and cannot be launched as a private match.

Treasures are available for purchase in-game and can be immediately opened to reveal a treasure exclusive skin which are guaranteed Chasmal quality or higher! Community Treasure 2 features fearsome skins like the Helicoprion a prehistoric shark-like creature with a 360 degree whirl of teeth, the Hammerhead Hullbreaker a top secret weapon developed by Soviets, the custom painted Zippy ADS, and much more! Leaderboard Ranking Update

With the Haywire update we've adjusted the percentiles required to attain higher tier ranking on the leaderboard. Only one tier is not percentile based which is the World Champion tier representing the Top 10 players on a given leaderboard. Another change to the leaderboard system is the inclusion of divisions, which further breakdown the leaderboard tiers. There are five divisions, with Division 1 being the greatest and closest to the next tier. Finally you are now able to see yourself on the leaderboard at all times, and we've introduced a progress bar to show how close you are to reaching your next division.

Mechanics

• New diver vs diver game mode 'Haywire'. Two teams of 6 battling over S.T.E.V.E.
  
• Added Drag modifier to the Volleyjet.
  
• Fixed bull shark active sometimes not giving bonus stamina.

Balance

• Tranq rounds do full stamina damage if the shark has any stamina.
  
• Headstrong cost reduced to 20 from 30.
  
• Game now ends 10 seconds after S.T.E.V.E dies.
  
• Bull active duration increased to 5 seconds from 4.
  
• Heavy Barrel now reduces the size of the APS' magazine by 10.
  
• Scopes now cut through depth of field effect - making them more effective.
  
• Suicide (using the shortcut) now gives negative score.

UI

• Leaderboards menu shows a progress bar for getting to the next tier.
  
• Added Game Mode name and Map name to the loadout menus.
  
• Divers no longer get screen shaking when bleeding.
  
• You can no longer equip shark skins from the store while in a game.

Maps

• Added Haywire versions of Antiguo, Cove, Crude, DevilsHead, Fractured, Galleon, Hillside, Olmec, Temple, Wreck

Matchmaking

• Players now randomize properly if they pick 'either' when queueing with a full lobby, or playing private matches.

Content

• Fix Tiger camoflague on the Jet tiger (and any other mesh swap skin).
  
• Fixed transparency in previews - so the Sensor now shows correctly (with dish).
  
• Skins selections are now properly validated when moving between public beta and live.

Sound

• Reduced the level of the 3rd person Zippy Tail Whip.

Steam

• Added coins for Steam trading cards badges.
  
• Added a coin and skin for following the Steam community hub.

Performance

• Lots of optimizations to skins - reduced memory usage by over 400MB.
  
• Lots of code optimizations to reduce CPU usage with lots of players.

Modding

• Shark skins can now override lunge and dart sounds.

For 2 whole rounds XP has not worked! It doesnt show drops at the ending scoreboard nor on my progress bar for the event. I purchased the support ticket for double XP and not getting my drops or XP is irritating. Tried to talk to a DEV about it in fact Babycat and they just disconnected, after saying its probably just the score board at the end...well its not....Thanks for helping!

**UPDATE**: Seems fixed now but in my opinion new game play style is horrible! Not enjoyable @ all really wish I hadn't wasted my money it's just 2$ but not worth it. Make sure you gain control of STEVE to begin with or you're screwed! GLHF!
