Level 101?

I just achieved having a level 100 ship. I continued to play and it looked like I was going to level up again but then it didn't. Does the game only allow your ship to reach level 100 even though you can play on levels that reach much higher?

Yes, character levels are capped at 100 (unless you mod the game).
