How repetetive is it?
Tried din's curse and it seems to be EXTREMELY repetetive (I mean... ever for arpg genre). Wounder if this game is similar in such terms, or there are things, that will make longplays possible, rather than just short sessions

It is very repetitive, even for an ARPG, but still enjoyable.

You could try out the demo, its what I did. I found that even though its a bit repetitive, its still pretty darn fun to play.

But as with any game, you will eventually get tired of them. I figure if I can play at least 40 hours per $10 of cost, then it was worth my money. Especially if I can come back to the game later and play another 20 or so hours.

Did you try many classes in Din's Curse? I'd get at least one fighter, rogue, mage, and archer to give a change of pace, then keep them all similar level so they can share items.

I think the game is kind of meant to be played in bursts. I usually go about 5-10 levels per character then go play a round of another game, then come back to one of these again.

Everything that can be is randomized in these games, so I find them much more re-playable than other games, but if a good story is important to you it might not be as fun. Personally I have a lot of fun making the story up as I play. Boss with the same name spawns again? Ah, he's back from the dead, or somehow evaded death when I killed him the first time... well I'll make sure he's dead for sure this time!

But like WIllieSea said, for sure try out the demo first. Drox takes more getting used to, and is much more chaotic. It also took me a long time to get used to the items. A person can immediately tell what a bow or sword does, but the space components take a bit more reading to figure out what they do and how to use them.

The gameplay does not evolve at all, so if you don't like the demo... don't expect you're going to get a different experience with the full game.

There's some minor evolution... unlocking more races, especially the ancients changes how each sector plays. Also the equipment changes drastically as you level up, changing how you configure your ship.

Also as you get to level 20+ it changes how you run the ship, depending on what the races main stat is. For example, I started with a ship that got engineering each level which got an epic shield/shield regen combo. My second ship specialized in structure so I had to figure something completely different to make the ship viable.

But yes, I do agree that the it's very basically like the demo.

When creating new ship click the highest level rating, you wont experienced repetive long.

Well that was rough playing level 24 at level 1. Found out if u die to much you lose. I so thought I was gonna win. I thought everyone was dead but my allie and 1 faction. At 5 secounds left we detroyed there last planet but there was still another undiscovered faction.
