Price hike?
According to sales tracking sites (here[www.steamgamesales.com] or here[isthereanydeal.com]), this game's base price was $9.99 for over two years, but suddenly in March, the base price doubled ($19.99) during a 75%-off sale (making it $4.99 instead of $2.49.) Was this intentional or an error? It seems very strange for a game to double in price after so long.

Bump.

I find this incredibly odd. I remember when I first added it to my Wishlist, it was a $9.99 game. Now looking back at it, the double in price is extremely strange. Most games like this lower in price or constantly go on sale so they can combat piracy. Odd.

Damn, that is a high price, it seems it has doubled.
I bought it for around $3 when it was on sale.
The doubled price is not worth it, either it's an error or they got really greedy.

A lot of devs have been doing this, I think they found that it didn't matter how much they raised their base price, as long as the percentage of discount was high people would still buy it. So everyone has been increasing their base profit. Quite underhanded, but you can't blame the indie devs for following the lead of the AAA companies.

My guess is that they did it for the sale, maybe they thought a 75% off sounds good but 2.49$ (understandingly) wasn't enough in their eyes. Never came back to put the base price back where it belongs...

There's no way in hell I'm paying $19.99 usd for this... Bring it down to $5 or even $7.50 and I'd buy it based on the positive reviews.

not buying because of these shenanigans.

I don't understand why it's only 50% off either; it's been 75% off before I'm sure.
