Best mapping for Xbox360/PS3 like controllers?
Mostly because it seems like it'd be more enjoyable with a controller. This is for Rebirth. But it seems to not like my triggers. Logitech F310.

I played both Descent and Forsaken on console and pc back when they first came out and it is not better with a controller. Granted, it should be better now with analogue sticks than it was back then, but the mouse is still way better.

Anyway, the game isn't advertised as having even partial controller support so I'm not surprised you're having difficulty. The triggers do seem like the best way to go, perhaps you can get them working with joy2key or a similar program. Otherwise just have a play around with it and see what feels most comfortable. Sorry I can't offer any better advice than that.

Well the game itself doesn't, I'm using Rebirth. Everything else maps fine except for triggers, and thats what I wanted to use for foward/backward movement. And odd enough, it won't detect it unless it's in X360 Emulation mode.

Ah, Rebirth. Sorry, I somehow missed that single word in your original post; it's been a long day. That's strange then; you'd think that it would work better than that. Ah well, this seems like a problem that is a little bit out of my experience area, but hopefully someone will be able to help you better than me.

If you're still curious about a X360 control scheme, here is one that I came up with for Rebirth. I don't use it because I honestly find it much easier to play with mouse and keyboard
