Some Particle Brushes have no gravity influence
Hi,
some of the particle brushes flow in wrong direction.
I tested with and without normalmap, "heavy leaking, splat, leaks, liquid stream" the flow is x direction. It looks there is no gravity.

And the "Bug Report" can not send my report anymore.

This issue will happen if you don't have a normal map applied to the mesh and the normal map factor is greater than 0 for the particle brush. However, you mention that you have tried with s normal map. To confirm, you have tried with a mesh that has a normal map applied?

Yes. I have made a new scene with an object plus the normal map.
In the earlier version of Sp the normal map was not necessary, and it was funktional with the same mesh and normal map!

Can you send me the mesh and normal map? I will take a look as to what the issue could be.

just a guess , but try to invert the red channel of your normal map ? not sure at all, and i can't to say without a look on the mesh and the normal map as Wes, but why not after all.

This is a good suggestion. I wonder if the normal orientation could be causing the issue.

@mixnix How did you bake the normal map?

Hi, have a look on this http://gyazo.com/beb2c2dbc63f4232fcb7e05f72a9ef45
It is a simple cube without a normal map and i use the "liquid stream"
The cube was made in blender exported as collada. I can send the cube to you, if you need.
Thank You

And with "heavy leaking" painted over three faces: http://gyazo.com/3ec755f8e7248bc6d0821bd50168aaba

...here the problem with my low poly mesh,
the normal map was generated within xNormal

By the way, the flow looks like the direction of the UV-Map rotation.

HI mixnix,

It would be good to have the mesh if possible to test. It looks like a tangent issue. Do the meshes you showed in the clips have a normal map applied to them? Can you post the mesh and the normal map?

Cheers,

Wes

Am i alone with that Problem? Should i reinstall Substance Painter?
1. I can not send a Bugreport over the Program.
2. Collada files, exported with Blender do have broken UV-Maps in side my copy of Substance Painter (not in other Engines I use). I will send You one mesh as OBJ and Collada later.

Hello,

I think this has to do with mesh normals. The object you sent is a gear. I can confirm the .dae file is missing UVs when opening into Painter. Can you send the dress object with the normal map?

Cheers,

Wes

so, what do I need, to get those particles to work, again?
that ist realy bad, watch this here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x27oksx_substance-painter-why-do-your-particles-don-t-work-for-me_tech

Oh well, the answare for my problems was found on your Forum
http://forum.allegorithmic.com/index.php/topic,2472.msg11612.html#msg11612

I'm starting to cry.

"If you don't have a normal map applied to the mesh, you need to set the normal factor in the physics>Receiver to 0.0. "

Please make a tutorial for all of the settings.
