Brush masking with B/W texture

hey, i've made some textures for stamp-brushes and also mask's, as usual.. But i can not put a texture in to the mask for the brush. Is there a limitation in size or something else now, or maybe a known bug?

Make sur to import your mask in "alphas" (not "Textures")

Thank you. Never recognized that make a difference. I've tried several formats, reloading that images, now i feel stupid.
