Is the game full of jumpscares of just meh?

Hey,I could find it out by myself but you know... I wanna know how's the game then I will play it calm. I mean even the game is promising with the art style with old paintings on walls and nostalgia? Thus the game is really close to Anna and Amnesia game. Mostly to Anna.

Anna is actually a pretty good comparision, but without such ghost events. There are one or two situations that might be a bit shocking, but I wouldn't call then jump scares.

The game gets progressively creepier as you play, which might put you on edge, but nothing suddenly jumps out at you.

But all the time i was afraid the children in the painting will suddenly look at me straight in the eyes.

It's a creepy and well told story. I wouldn't say this is a game, just a very linear experience. A very good story, don't get me wrong, but not a game... more or less like reading a short tale from the Mythos with some minimal interaction here and there.
I hope they do an actual game, because they know how to build tension for sure.

If your definition of horror is it has jumpscares or is "meh", I would say you belong in the 10 year old horror department. Please buy Five Nights and Freddie's and move on.

I am surprised nobody noticed that this is a very old topic I started few months ago.
And still continues...I already played the game fully and done,and by your own curiosity...the corpse disturbed me..and that's just it.

Do yourself a favor: Go on Newgrounds and play The Company of Myself. It's basically the same thing, but better in pretty much every way. Really, the only thing that this game has over it is the graphics. Maybe it's the they-redefined-autism-and-now-I-have-it talking, but who the heck plays a game for the graphics?
