Card City Nights does multiple jobs and it does them all very well. First off, it serves a satire of other TCG shows and games. If you've played the Pokemon TCG game for the gameboy color, you will notice the parallels. Parallels which are twisted into a funny, lighthearted experience. At the same time it is a crossover of many of Ludosity's different titles. If you're like me, the only character is recognized was the protagonist of Ittle Dew, a game I still haven't played (for now). The game developers did not let this stop them from making the experience enjoyable, and made the rather smart decision of making said characters alternate versions that reflect the original form's personality and behavior but belong exclusively to that world. The visual designs have also been updated to maximize the effect. And as a result, the cards you collect become more enjoyable, as you draw the parallels between the characters of Card City Nights and the characters of the original games. And speaking of cards, the actual game is a nice, casual experience. The developers were able to take a rather simple concept for a card game, and still make it enjoyable. The music is wonderful as well. It is a light treat for the ears that doesn't provide any distractions that might ruin your cool strategies. My one complaint is that the game is only single player, but the games build up as a casual adventure doesn't really allow for that. I would recommend this game if you love TCGs and/or are looking for a casual experience. I also recommend you experience with different decks and go for all of the achievements. With only 8 achievements, it is very easy to obtain 100% completion for this game. Happy dueling, and may the 8 Legendaries fall into your hands!
