no players in session

i play gta online but noone is in my session i alredy restarted steam and computer/ when im tring to connect to friens its writting that session lost or not possible to connect/ sorry for my english, so what can l do?

So I dmz'd my PC and just went to check and port 80/443 are still closed, even though they are forwarded AND DMZ is on.

Had the same problem. Solved by installig VPN on my PC. I have modem|router and all that port forwarding and DMZ stuff didn't work. Thanks to all of you, who was trying to solve this piece of crap problem.

This problem differs from user to user. Cause without VPN i had session without players, but, maybe in 1 out of 10 i could connect to some quick job without being disconnected.

I have had trouble from starting online sometime I can join a job with one person,but anyone else starts to join then says players left.Then other times I join and all players say left.

I have tried something that people have said to try.
I have no problems on xbox one or xbox 360.

Interesting thing I've noticed. I wonder if anyone else here has the non-steam version and can let me know if they can access the store in the Social Club overlay? It doesnt normally let me, it says I'm not old enough, yet when I use a VPN and Online works, I can access the store and buy things as intented.

It's a long shot, but might be related to the problem we're all having.

I also have the retail version and the store also doesn't work for me when not connected to a VPN.

By the way, the VPN trick worked for 2 hours (no disconnect, I just left, played in a 30 player session, 3 deathmatches and two races, everything is fine, except the ping being too high apparently, because I'm from Moldova and I used an American VPN)

P.S. The easiest way to connect to a VPN is Softether VPN Client Manager, free software, easy for using. I'm using it since BF4 got released, used it to get into the game 5 days earlier before release lol.

Gonna try that Softether VPN Client Manager. Avast VPN works fine, but no way am I forking out a monthly fee considering the price tag on GTA V in vurrent state. It's a good game but not so good that I can justify paying a monthly fee, just to play with my friends.

yeah no VPN's work for me, it actually gets me kicked faster. So we will have to wait for a patch or it to just start working (the latter is more likely)

Perhaps it's about time we start a petition to show RockStar that they need to fix this. Seeing as all the next consoles got the same problem, and that haven't been fixed yet despite the game being out for those for such a long time.

Well I just played for 2 hours perfectly fine then all of the sudden 26 people spammed up they left. Back to being alone again.

Also before I got in the session with 26ish people I couldnt start mission Last Team Standing. Kept looping me around and around and wouldnt load. Kept making me Host then after everyone was in and clicked play it stuck on loading then booted me back out to the world. Rinse repeat.

Well I still can't join friends and still get disconnected from jobs and can only get in a lobby sometimes with one player,if a fix or patch isn't found soon I will get a refund and just play it on my xbox one as that works fine.
