First person view - does it cause motion sickness?
I like the sound of this, but I tend to get varying degrees of motion sickness these days when playing first person games so I generally avoid them.

How much motion is there in this game? Is it just the case that you can turn your camera view around to see the area you're in, and you can control the speed of the turn to minimise nausea? Or is there a lot of movement such as walking between or within scenes, with a lot of camera motion?

I tried the demo of The Talos Principle and even with their 'motion sickness' controls turned on and using the over-the-shoulder viewpoint, I still couldn't stand it. Is this game similar?

Thanks in advance for any advice on the subject! :)

(Devs, is there a demo available anywhere for Prominence?)

Hi Karrolanth,

Yes, you can turn the camera to look around, and there's a slider in the Options screen to control the turn speed.

Movement within rooms is animated by default, but can be turned off in the Options screen, or bypassed on-the-fly by holding CTRL while clicking to move.

There isn't currently a demo available, but Steam's policy is that they will refund a game purchase "if the request is made within fourteen days of purchase, and the title has been played for less than two hours."

Happy adventuring!

Thank you for the info! I must admit I'd forgotten about the refund policy, and I'd definitely know well before two hours if it was going to make me feel unbearably ill. :)

I'll add it to my ever-growing wishlist and see about saving up some pennies...!
