Character Speed
This is what really got me. How slow she walks.

It was frustrating. Something as simple as getting to the bench was a real chore. Sitting on the bench took forever once I got there. Leaving again was painful.

And that was beautiful. Things that are so easy now - walking from point A to point B will become such a challenge later in life. That frustration I felt, in game, is frustration that people have to deal with on a daily basis.

Aside from the contemplation of death, and one person's place in the world - that did it. The walking speed.

Did I mention how much I loved returning from the peaceful silence to the roaring road?

This experience was fantastic.

That is an old lady close to death... Did you want that she was running around the cemitery as if she was a marathoner? :P

That's a poetic way of looking at it, OP. I'm an in-home care provider and I see disabled people struggling to do the simplest things like go up and down a flight of stairs. It's tragic.

And you needed a crappy videogame-experience to realize that there are people out there dealing with difficult lifes on a daily basis? Where do you live, Elysium?

AWG: I think you miss the "aware of" and the "coming closer to experiencing". There's a reason that art exists - and in most cases, it's not to make us "aware" of new things, but rather to inform how we experience and connect with those things.

As someone who takes care of elder people, I still find this game shxx. I don't know if it's TRYING to be deep? I mean is it? It surely didn't give me an 'experience'...unless thinking before I spend money next time counts.
