Mouse Issues?
Whenever I am moving the cursor in-game it will freeze until I have stopped moving the cursor, it even happens in the menu's. Wondering is anyone else experiencing this problem? on Windows 8 x64

Try the game in Windows Xp compatibility mode:

C:\program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Roller coaster Tycoon gold\RCT3plus right click on this file and choose properties and then compatability tab then choose Windows Xp Service pack 3 and may also want to choose run as Administrator. Hope this helps you out.

Tried that and there is no difference... as soon as I move my mouse, when in menu or in game, everything freezes, then i stop moving the mouse and everything starts working again... unplayable :(

have you tried a different mouse? updated your mouse drivers ?
are there mouse options under windows 8 control panel to change?

I'm having a similar issue as well, Windows 7 x64

i run window 7 64 bit and no problems at all. nvidia gtx 650 1gb video card Amd 6000+ cpu 4 gb Mushkin memory.

i would first go into the options and adjust my video settings down to the lowest possible followed by a very low resolution. if this solves the problem then go back into the options and raise them up one-by-one.

Tried all of that, every option ticked and unticked, every resolution. No dice... not happy!!

try to adjust your mouse settings under windows control panel. may be something like ...mouse trails.

Tried it with mouse pointer shadows off and pointer precision off, I don't use mouse trails.

Still no dice

Is a problem with drivers... if you use AMD, try the catalyst 13,4.

Same problem here, Windows 7 Pro x64, 16 GB RAM, i5 750, Radeon 5850 with Catalyst 13.9.....even on lowest graphics setting, FPS drops to zero when the mouse is moved, but can scroll around perfectly fluidly with the keyboard arrows.

Maybe I will try downgrading Catalyst 13.4 ..... but I don't like the idea of running out of date drivers just to run this.

Perhaps first I will try it on my Win64 Nvidia 650M-powered laptop.....if it doesn't have the same problems, maybe it is an AMD graphics conflict.

I don't recall ever having problems on my 600 series nvidia card before i upgraded to a 7950... pissed if thats what it is though

One more question for those having problems : Are you using a special GAMING MOUSE or an ordinary optical mouse ?
I guess there is an option to change the USB Polling Rate of these types of mice. Also, and this is going out on a limb so to speak, have aby of you tried to change the refresh rate of your screen ? Note: please , please do not try any UNSUPPORTED MODES because you may just destroy your monitor. But if there are other supported refresh rates i would try it just to see.
