Linux version of this game?
Come on, if have a OSX version, why can't have a Linux version? I don't think it's a big cost make that.

But aspyr just made the OSX port, on Linux are a lot of other enterprises who ports windows games to Linux.

Isn't too playable on Wine... :(

Game is too old. Plus, Linux sucks for gaming. I don't know why you would plan on putting games on linux because there are so few games out there.

Isn't bad on gaming, you get better results than other OS (aka UT, UT2004, Valve games, NWN... etc) and using Wine (commonly games with OpenGL), it's just hard to find standard libraries, that's why a game on Steam platform would be great. Steam it's "supported" to just Ubuntu, that's means, games should work only on Ubuntu without problems, maybe on other Linux distros you must do some fixes.

Please don't talk about things you don't know about. Linux is better than Windows for gaming. http://blogs.valvesoftware.com/linux/faster-zombies/

All games should have Linux versions. This one is no exception. +1. Waiting for a Linux version.

You must have a crap windows then, ive tried games on both, windows is MUCH better. Better framrates and all, all on the same dual booted machine.

Did you install the official graphics drivers? That's essential for good gaming performance on Linux. (If you are using Ubuntu 13.04: Go to Software Sources and choose the Additional Drivers tab. If you are using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS: Start the Additional Drivers program. Select a closed, non-test driver and click the apply button. Then restart your computer. If it doesn't show any drivers to install or you get a black screen after restart: Blame your graphics card vendor)

Linux isn't bad for gaming, just ugly video modules. AMD support is great, but modules are poor... Nvidia support is ugly, but have fast modules.

Try playing high demanding games on both platforms... Linux wins almost always... using Wine you can get better framerate than Windows on some "Windows" games (and Wine is a wrapper), on native games on both platforms, you almost always have better framerate... Unreal Tournament 2004 (tested on past), shooters like Nexuiz, Alien Arena, Warsow... etc, and it's a technical easy reply... Linux is simpler than Windows on OS infrastructure... Microsoft have tons of internal services, security analysis... etc. Linux it's very updated so they fix this problems fastest.

Adding my +1. I didn't realise this game already had an OpenGL version (Mac), it'd be awesome to see it on Linux (and the rumoured Linux-based Steam console).

Too bad there is no Linux version. The game is on sale and I would've bought it...
