To me this was a good interview, that really explains a lot on the direction...I am worried about the game being online, and multiplayer, I was sucked into the whole Sim City Fiasco and this feels like its going to be repeated. No Micro transactions and definitely NO GIFTING vanity items please, that is not what the RCT series is about.

The way Chenais explained the mobile version, it really feels like my initial thought could be right, their using the funding they get for the mobile version to put back into the PC version. If this is the case Atari should just come outright and say that, it would be a much easier sell and people would definitely be not as hatred towards the micro transactions on the mobile version. Fans would be more accepted to that but don't make that into the final PC game though.

Just don't do the mistakes that came with Sim City, RCT is at its ABSOLUTE CORE! singleplayer game! DON'T NEGLECT that gameplay. Keeping sandbox, being able to play offline. Think leader boards and global ranks is pretty useless in a game like RCT but that's me I'm old school. Ranking and leader boards break games and invite cheating/hacking every game that has ever had that, has been plagued with hackers/cheaters....

So many prefer RCT1&2 over 3, but as far as the look and the 3D aspect visuals go, 3 was far superior graphically then any other RCT game. I hope they keep that and move it forward, Isometric view just seems really damn old, we need to move the series forward not backwards. Otherwise just go play the older games in my opinion.

I'm very disappointed in this, as it has confirmed my fears of another SimCity. There is not one thing I liked or found exciting in this article. It says Chris Sawyer is involved, but doesn't give any detail. He could just be involved as an advisor like RCT3, which didn't turn out that well. So many red flags in the article...

Indeed I actually pre-ordered sim city after I played the beta, felt like i got completely ♥♥♥ fked coz the beta and final game were VEEEEEEEEEEERRRRY different. Knowing the massive mistakes that were made in Sim City, I am also extremely concerned about it too dude, I have faith that someone like Chris Sawyer wont follow those mistakes like making it online only for example. I don't think there is quite as many red flags as you think there is though, just online portions of the game, and I think all that stuff will be seperate, or basically in addition to what we would expect from a RCT game, not instead of!

As I said, there is no information as to how involved Chris is or how much power he has in determining the direction of the game/features. Right from the article, "Chesnais had described Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 on PC as an online game, adding that social features will be key to the experience.", that is exactly what Maxis said about the new SimCity. Also, "You will be able to gift things to friends", big red-flag for microtransaction hell. Those are the 3 big red-flags for me; online game, social features, & gifting.

I think when it comes to RCT its more about the creative process you do with how you do your rides and watching the peeps roam around the park going on all ya rides and stuff more than managing stuff...Don't want it too over complicated or it'll loose its ease appeal and fun factor.

I think this sucks. What if I dont have any friends?!? Will that mean I can't get access to certain track pieces or rollercoasters. ♥♥♥♥ you chris chernaiises or whoever the hell yyou are. ♥♥♥♥ you Atari. Thanks alot cris sawyer. The studio responsible for sim city online was liquidated because of this stupid crappy philosophy. Oh everything has to be online and social. ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥. Now those developers wont be able to feed their families. Good. Maybe its time somebody liquidated atari. I was looking forward to the possibility of RCT4 but now I know that the clowns got a hold of it.

RCT3 didn't turn out that well after playing RCT2 to heavely, imo. So even a 4th game coming in general, I know it's going to start out in the wrong direction. I'll have to look at extensive reviews, game play, ect before I buy ANY tycoon game ever again. RCT3 just wasn't even the same..

I loved RCT3 but I'm with you on that one epiphone, I'm not going to buy it either I'm definitely gonna wait on RCT4 PC version because if its anything remotely close to the mobile version its going to be absolutely crap.

Didn't they make RCT4 on iOS?
