Only 64 Bits. 32bits still on its way. (Read Before you Buy)
PLATFORM NOTICE
DreadOut is currently released for Windows 64-bit OS only, with Linux/SteamOS & Mac OS X support currently in Beta and will be released later, including the 32-bit versions.

Updates

"We're still working on optimizing for the 32 bit platform support as well as the OpenGL version for Mac and Linux/SteamOS platform. It will be ready on our next major update once they are stable.
Thank you for all of your support."

We're still optimizing DreadOut for 32 bits system to make it available for release. It definitely is still on our high priority to-do list, especially because most users here in Indonesia --the very country DreadOut is born and originally target-- were using 32 bits system. We will update you as we're progressing, in fact all of our backers --including you-- will get our progress report earlier than the other, just as usual.

To be more precise and technical: Currently DreadOut utilize almost 2GB memory, which is the highest memory address a standard 32 bits system application can access in user mode. This made DreadOut very fragile on this system, more specifically when player took more and more pictures, it will just quit without notice (crash). It even refused to start if the player have a heavy loaded system. The 32 bits DreadOut build was live on Steam backend on early days but we decided to pull it.

Best of luck

Edit: Thanks for the pinned.

so u guys still will make 32bit right? I had 4.00GB RAM for my 32 bit and a new AMD Radeon R7 200 Series card. it should be no problem with the RAM by taking pictures in game. i'll get on steam everyday to see when u guys will have a new update for it.

Yup, they've confirmed they're working on a 32-bit version, as well as Mac and Linux support.

While I agree you should read before you buy, Valves steam should be smart enough to know your hardware and OS and decide if it can run a certain game (in certain situations like this). This has always bothered me because Valve knows your hardware....

That would actually very helpfull like it detect if your pc/laptop can run this game or not. <3

Bought the game before I knew this, was so excited to play it...Still not used to some games being only 64bit but at least 32 bit is coming. Hopefully it doesn't take too long~

Actually valves steam OS will do just this. It will detect your hardware and tell you if you can run a game, at what setting you can likely run it at, and offer upgrades (for the steam box of course) and tell you what the upgrade will run at. Pretty niffty.

I'd be happy to be apart of the MacOSX Beta :)

Just checked the task manager and saw the problem with doing a 32-Bit version. The game currently takes about 1.6gig of RAM, which is dangerously close to the absolute maximum a 32-Bit process can use in Windows (2gig). Other areas (currently I'm in the school) may need even more RAM which would be impossible to address, even if you have more than 2gig installed.
