TLDR - I think this could be a really cool game, but right now it just has too many problems.
I find myself really wanting to recommend this game. I've played a lot of MOBAs and this is a fresh twist that I like. Sort of a return to Battlezone 1/2 or Savage with one player building and the rest fighting. There are two major problems that keeps me from being able to enjoy this game though.
The first is that the only way to get XP is by killing enemies that are spawned from your opponent's barracks (if they build one) or by killing the opposing players. This means that unless your opponent has built a barracks right off the bat, the first kill will give one side a huge advantage. This wouldn't be so bad if the capture points that steadily tick down your opponent's tickets (think how Dominion works in League of Legends) fired back and required creep to tank the shots for you. Instead, the first team to get a kill and thus a level generally then can bully the opponents back and take over 1 extra mine or victory point tower and start a slow but inevitable snowball. Even when they do eventually build a barracks, the combined minions + enemy players will prevent you from being able to level up much, they'll just farm you instead, even at your base being healed.
The second and perhaps even worse problem, is that the controls are pretty buggy. The character you are given by default is a melee character and many things in the game make that very frustrating. First off, you will not automatically attack back if you are attacked. This means you might look away to build/harvest gold only to find your character standing there at half health being attacked. What is worse that even when you order your character near an enemy many times they will be standing clearly in attack range doing nothing. It is not clear if you have targeted and enemy and thus very hard to know if your character is actually going to attack when he/she arrives or just stand there like an idiot. There have been other bugs such as pretty bad pathing around the high rocky areas as well as once when I had an enemy cornered, was clicking on them directly but could not get my character to attack and instead had to watch as they killed me. The last gripe is that overall the controls feel pretty laggy. Perhaps all input is being validated on the server and thus suffers a 50-100ms lag, in which case I might suggest the devs look into extrapolation and interpolation with positional overrides from the server. Overall it's very frustrating for an action game to be so terribly unresponsive, especially stacked on top of the above problems.
I'm hopeful the devs will be able to resolve most of this and the game will stabilize into a genuinely great experience, I think it has potential, but a mix of design and technical problems is really holding it back right now.
