New codec... same problems... FPS
I say one time, the problem is software not the codec...

well... i use the new codec, and i'm having the same problem, start record fps from 48 go to 28...

this happens with all codecs of i use...

but, if i use dxtory ( another software to record ) i have my fps normal...

i think the problem is in the software, not codec...

waiting for updates =)

I tried the new codec just now, But i ran it from Dxtory. Suprisingly the quality impressed me.

Yes, the quality is not the problem. The problem are in the software... i dont know what but... in litecam fps drop... in dxtory not...

if i record in the best or the bad quality i have the same fps...

in dxtory if i record in best, i drop little fps... in bad, i dont drop fps...

the problem is the code of software... i'm waiting new updates :)

is anyone recording with the software and taking note that the log files appear but no file it self where it should be ?.

Litecam compresses heavily which requires alot of CPU resources. This means less CPU resources for the game which means framerate suffers.

Some people might show you examples of games that don't require much CPU power to achieve high FPS. Alternatively they might have very powerful computers recording games that use a fair amount of CPU to achieve high fps.

I'd lke to try Litecam using either a no compression or a very low compression codec to see how it performs.

@3DMightyMouse try using liteCam with ffdshow on the Uncompressed format.

Thanks, I'll look into ffdshow and see how it goes.

Alright, man. Hope you enjoy, although I choose the YUY2 ColorSpace or the RGB24, thats supported in Vegas & PowerDirector, incase you use those.

I make this man... you see my words? IF I USE DXTORY WITH SAME CODEC I DONT GET FPS DROP....

BUT IF I USE LITECAM..

with same codec, same compression, same resolution...
